A camp in the Timbavati is seeking a passionate, hands-on Lodge Chef. Key Responsibilities Meal Execution: Prepare high-quality breakfast, lunch, and traditional boma dinners for up to 16 international guests. Stock Control: Manage kitchen inventory, food rotation, ordering, and minimize food wastage. Dietary Flexibility: Adapt menus creatively to cater to diverse dietary requirements (e.g., vegan, gluten-free). Hygiene Standards: Maintain exceptional levels of kitchen cleanliness and food safety regulations. Requirements Requirements & Qualifications Experience: Minimum 23 years of chef experience, preferably within a remote game lodge or bush camp. Kitchen Skills: Solid knowledge of buffet handling and traditional South African bush cuisine. Bush Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a remote, solar-powered eco-camp environment.
