Job Description
Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations to ensure timely, high-quality food preparation and maintain efficient, safe kitchen workflows.
Responsibilities- Supervise kitchen staff to ensure food is prepared correctly and delivered on time
- Collaborate in planning menus and propose new dishes to enhance offerings
- Maintain consistent food quality, taste, and presentation standards
- Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to prevent shortages
- Enforce compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations in all kitchen activities
- Train and guide junior chefs and kitchen assistants to improve their skills and performance
- Manage kitchen operations independently during the Head Chef’s absence
- Control food costs by minimizing waste and optimizing resource use
- Ensure proper use and cleanliness of all kitchen equipment to maintain operational standards
