Job Description

Join Shell’s 2026 Internship Program in Bintulu as a Chemical & Process Engineering Intern, gaining hands‑on experience and industry exposure.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

  • Chemical Engineer Intern: Proactive technical monitoring, daily production support, review process control philosophy, manage threats and opportunities, review design conditions of process units, investigate operational instability issues, gather interdisciplinary inputs, and finalize proposals to ensure unit performance.
  • Process Engineer Intern: Design Operating Window (DOW) limit review site‑wide, alarm processing level review site‑wide, configure SIF trip tags in Universal Tag Locator (UTL), and configure DCS/System alarms into Master Alarm Database (MAD) and UTL.
  • Work alongside industry experts on projects with real business impact.
  • Gain understanding of gas processing plant operating principles and relevant legislation.
