Chief Engineer – Tanker

The Chief Engineer is the head of the Engine Department and is responsible for the safe efficient operation and maintenance of all machinery and engineering systems on board the tanker. The Chief Engineer reports directly to the Master

Previous sea service and experience

• Previous sea service as Chief Engineer or First Engineer on tankers
• Experience with tanker machinery and cargo-related systems
• Familiarity with dry-docking and major repairs preferred

Requirements

• Valid Chief Engineer (Unlimited) Certificate of Competency
• Valid Tanker Endorsement (as applicable)
• STCW certification as per latest amendments
• Valid Seamans Book and Medical Certificate
