About the job Citrus Production Manager - Swellendam
Suiderland Plase is a leading grower, packer, and exporter of fresh fruit (citrus and table grapes) in South Africa. Our production units are situated across the Western Cape, with our head office in Bellville near Cape Town.
The company has a vacancy for a citrus production manager at our production units in Buffeljags River near Swellendam. The position will report to the farm manager and is available immediately.
Responsibilities
- Production: Plant citrus, schedule irrigation, apply fertilizer, pest, plague and weed control, prune, harvest, monitoring, all manipulations
- Personnel and administration: Labor planning and management, recordkeeping, plan transport and accommodation, maintenance (equipment / orchards / general)
- Financial: Cost control by focusing on productivity
