About The Role
As a Claims Consultant in our Specialty Lines team, you will handle complex multi‑line claims through all distribution channels in Central and Western Canada, focusing on E&O, D&O, Crime, and Cyber claims.
What You’ll Do Here
- Assess coverage under the respective policies and communicate coverage positions or issues with underwriters, brokers, and insureds.
- Assess exposures and determine appropriate reserves.
- Retain the services of internal or external panel legal counsel and other support services when necessary.
- Lead, supervise, guide, and provide technical advice to regional file handlers to ensure consistent and effective claims handling.
- Train colleagues on complex claim handling procedures.
- Work with Underwriting to identify potential risks and trends, and support marketing efforts.
