Key tasks & responsibilities: Ensuring the day-to-day running of the driver’s vehicle is carried out safely, legally and profitably. Fleet Maintenance – First use checks prior to commencing any job. Ensuring all assets are presented for maintenance as required by our Operators Licence when requested by operations team. Maintaining vehicle/trailer cleanliness and equipment maintenance. Driver Compliance – Ensuring compliance with tachograph law and working time directive. Highway Code is to be observed at all times. Flexible working hours – Standard hours detailed in contract. Over time expected. Route planning – Route should be planned prior to starting job. Low bridges and weight limits to be taken into consideration.
