Job Description
The Governors of Maryvale Catholic Primary School wish to appoint an enthusiastic, qualified Class Teacher on a fixed‑term basis starting in September 2026. The role is within the Enhanced Learning Provision (ELP), supporting our inclusive approach to educating children with special educational needs who struggle to access the curriculum at an age‑appropriate level.
The successful applicant will:
- be supportive of the Catholic ethos of our school
- provide academic, behavioural and social support for individual pupils and small groups
- have a strong understanding of the National Curriculum, with a proven record of achieving high pupil outcomes
- demonstrate good knowledge of adaptive teaching strategies to ensure inclusive practice for pupils with Special Educational Needs
- be enthusiastic, reflective and an effective communicator
- have high standards of oral, written and numeracy skills
