What qualifications are we looking for?
At YMCA Calgary we strive to ensure our employees are a fit based on their strengths, interests, and future goals.The successful candidates will have the following;Current Standard First Aid and CPR C certification (CPR recertified within the last 12 months)
Evidence of a clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector search
Three professional references
Previous climbing experience
Valid climbing instructor certificate (ACCT and/or ACMG level 1 or higher), OR successful completion of YMCA-hosted ACCT level 1 or 2 certification workshop within 30 days of hire
Preferred:
One of the following certifications:
Climbing Gym Instructor Level 1 or higher from the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides (ACMG)
Indoor Climbing Wall Practitioner Level 1 or higher accredited by ACCT
Full Challenge Course Practitioner level 2 accredited by ACCT
