About the Role
The primary purpose of the Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) 'Infectious Diseases Service' role is to provide specialist nursing advice, care and expertise both in delivering direct patient care and in supporting other staff caring for patients with Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) within the Wellington region (Wellington, Porirua, Kapiti, Hutt Valley and Wairarapa). The CNS will work in collaboration with the Infectious Diseases Service (Capital & Coast and Hutt Valley), Primary, secondary and community providers. The role utilises professional knowledge and clinical skills for the assessment and ongoing management of patients/whānau with HIV.
