About the Role
As a Clinical Nurse Specialist in the Inpatient Pain Service, you will provide advanced clinical expertise and specialist pain management care to a defined inpatient population.
- Delivering high‑level clinical care across a range of inpatient settings, including potential nurse‑led clinics.
- Supporting and guiding nursing and multidisciplinary colleagues in complex or rapidly changing clinical situations related to acute and complex pain.
- Leading the development of pathways, protocols, and guidelines to enhance patient safety and quality of pain management.
- Using research, audit, and best‑practice evidence to influence clinical practice and service development.
- Providing education, coaching, and support to nursing staff to strengthen capability and confidence in pain assessment and management.
