POSITION SUMMARY: Is responsible for receiving all calls through the switchboard and transferring calls to proper destinations.# Directs visitors to patient#s rooms and other areas of hospital as needed.# Performs charge entry on patient accounts.# Assists with Medicare, Medicaid, and Carolina Access and Blue Cross/Blue Shield eligibility verification and updates.# Processes information on the Center#s Health Information System as required in performing job responsibilities.# Provides data entry functions for assigned accounts. ########### ########### ########### MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School graduate with typing and computer skills; knowledge of switchboard operations, ability to deal with multiple phone lines in calm and professional manner; ability to follow medical staff instructions; ability to stay calm in emergencies; good communication and organizational skills; ability to deal with the public in a professional manner and maintain good relationships with hospital personne...
