I. Purpose Of The Job
The Company Nurse is responsible for delivering occupational health services including implementation and evaluation of health maintenance and health education programs.
II. Principal Accountabilities
Medical Services
- Monitors health conditions of employees
- Takes vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse rate, etc. during employee consultations
- Dispenses standard drugs and medicines such as aspirin and cough or cold tablets, ensuring that correct control, storage and administration of drugs and medicines are undertaken.
- Prepares Monthly Inventory of Medicine and Medicine Purchase form.
- Documents medical findings in the employee’s medical record.
- Conducts home or hospital visits, when necessary.
- Provides on-site emergency care (first aid treatment) providing medications, health assessments and referral.
