Consultant Community Paediatrician (or Consultant Paediatrician with Interest in Community).
Main duties
- Undertake the assessment and ongoing management of school‑age children with suspected neurodevelopmental difficulties, particularly ADHD and ASD.
- Take direct responsibility for the care of children with learning and physical disabilities at a local Special School.
- Participate in the safeguarding on‑call rota (currently 1 in 7) or the acute paediatric on‑call rota; participation can be negotiated at job planning.
- Opportunities to participate in diagnostic multidisciplinary assessment and ongoing management for preschool children.
Working environment
Relocation to Royal Bournemouth Hospital anticipated during 2026/2027. Once relocated, mileage allowance will not apply and travel between home and work base will be classified as a commute.
