Overview

Consultant post within the clinical haematology department focusing on haematostasis and thrombosis. The role involves delivering high‑quality care for venous thromboembolism, pulmonary embolism, haemophilia, bleeding disorders and interventional therapies for DVT.

Main Responsibilities

1. Provide and develop services for thrombosis and haemostasis including anticoagulation management.
2. Lead the expansion of DVT and outpatient PE services and develop the Haemophilia and Bleeding Disorder Service.
3. Specialise in interventional therapies for acute proximal DVT and manage VTE outcomes (post‑thrombotic syndrome, pulmonary hypertension).
