Consultant in Neurocritical Care and Perioperative Care
Grade: NHS Medical & Dental: Consultant
Contract: Permanent: Full time substantive
Hours: Full time – 10 sessions per week (1:9 on call cover)
Location: John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford
Salary: £113,565 – £150,569 per annum (pro rata)

Main duties of the job
The post holder will primarily work in the West Wing of the John Radcliffe Hospital, with a condition to work at any of the Trust’s Oxford sites. Key responsibilities include:
- Consultant cover on a 1:9 rota for the 17‑bed neuro‑critical care unit
- Developing a perioperative consultant service for the Neurosciences inpatient ward
- Establishing an echocardiography service within the existing Pre‑Operative Assessment service
