Consultant Medical Oncologist (fixed term until April 2027)
Location: Wellington Regional Hospital, Kenepuru Hospital, Hutt Hospital, Masterton Hospital
Service: Medical Oncology Service
Contract: Part time (up to 0.845 FTE), fixed term until April 2027
The Medical Oncologist is responsible for providing specialist assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with cancer, working within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care. The role includes managing systemic anticancer therapies, contributing to tumour stream multidisciplinary meetings, and supporting equitable access to evidence based oncology services across the district. The Medical Oncologist will also contribute to service development, teaching and supervision of junior medical staff, and participate in research and quality improvement activities aligned with national and regional cancer priorities.
