2. ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND:
The Right to Sight India (VISION 2020 INDIA) was established in 2004 as a national platform dedicated to eliminating avoidable blindness across India. Operating as a not-for-profit organization, it serves as a pivotal contributor to the global initiative led by the World Health Organization (WHO ) and the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB ) to reduce preventable visual impairments.
This initiative represents a collaborative partnership among INGOs, NGOs, and Dr. RP Centre, AIIMS, working collectively to enhance eye care programs, exchange knowledge, and develop innovative solutions to deliver high-quality, comprehensive, and equitable eye care.
