About the RoleYou will work alongside other psychiatrists to provide clinical care of the patients in the ward, both directly and through supervising other staff, particularly the junior medical staff. Consultant Psychiatrist input is essential in a range of clinical activities, including 24-hour seclusion reviews, periodic reviews of treatment, statutory assessments under the Mental Health (Compulsory Assessment and Treatment) Act 1992 and decisions about leave and discharge.
