The Opportunity
We’re seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join a leading mental health service in Auckland. This role focuses on liaison psychiatry, providing specialist assessments and consultations for general hospital inpatients and emergency presentations, as well as outpatient follow-up. You’ll work within a multidisciplinary team that values collaboration, cultural safety, and professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver psychiatric assessments and treatment plans for medically complex patients.
- Provide expert consultation to hospital teams and outpatient services.
- Contribute to teaching and supervision of registrars and medical students.
- Participate in service development and quality improvement initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
- Vocational registration in Psychiatry (or eligibility) with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
