Job Responsibilities
Control, manage, plan and coordinate Import Control, Export Control, and Road Freight.
- Effectively administer the full Shipping Controller role including legal compliance and cost control, shipment documentation, etc.
- Coordinate and consolidate shipments from suppliers in the most cost-effective manner.
- Negotiate freight rates and sailing and flight schedules to ensure timely clearance and delivery.
- Track shipments regarding timelines, customs releases, or detentions.
- Assist with import & export quotations via sea and road.
- Advise on planned deliveries and warehouse intake.
- Assist accounts with relevant documents and signatures for payment of foreign and local invoices.
- Negotiate rates with various export agents, shipping lines, and road transporters for all forms of export.
