Capital Assets
- Preparing the working papers and capitalizing the various assets monthly and preparing capex report.
- Preparing working papers and capitalizing POS items.
- Recording accruals for Capital work in progress and supporting coding of invoices in iverify.
- Executing the monthly depreciation runs in SAP.
- Performing the disposals in the system when necessary and supporting the annual impairment process.
- Preparing Schedule 8 for Tax Reporting of Capital Cost Allowance (CCA).
- Participating in monthly capex meetings with Controlling and Operations.
- Preparing and submitting Stat Canada Capex Surveys.
Taxes (VAT, Income Tax, Ecology)
- VAT – Preparing various provincial and federal government VAT filings (HST / QST / PST).
- Income Tax – Preparing and submitting monthly compliances - Corp tax payments, WHT payments.
