Job Description
Qualifications
- SAICA articles (completed/signed off within the last two years)
- Advanced computer literacy (MS Office)
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Good understanding of accounting Verbal and written communication
- Experience in accounting treatment of future contracts, derivatives and SAFEX transactions
Responsibilities
- Analysis of purchase and sale transactions, including all ancillary items
- Provide management with feedback on the results of the analysis
- Identification and reporting of risks/shortfalls
- Confirm the accuracy of month-end calculations and reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with group policies, applicable regulations, VAT and tax legislation, and assist internal and external auditors when required
- Assistance with the preparation of annual budgets
- Ensure proper filing and record-keeping of documents
