Job Description: Cost Accountant
Location: Cienega, Reciente Leon, Mexico
Reports to: Mexico Controller
Position: Exempt
Responsibilities
- Analytically review cost reduction projects and provide support to the Engineering department
- Manage costs effectively
- Review the Cost Structure
- Analyze cost variances
- Suggest improvements to enhance cost efficiency and production processes
- Prepare monthly cost reports and closing statements
- Accurately assess inventory valuation
- Determine production costs
- Coordinate and control physical and cycle inventory counts
- Report weekly sales figures to Finance for analysis and reconciliation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
- Advanced (at least 80%) English fluency
- At least 3 years of experience in similar positions in the manufacturing industry
