Position Summary
As part of the Trauma Program, the counsellor will provide therapeutic interventions to people impacted by interpersonal trauma. Counsellors strive to provide a safe(r) healing space to assist individuals/groups with their healing journey using a Strength Based, Person Centred and Holistic approach. This position directly reports to the Manager of Counselling Services.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in the social sciences, graduate degree preferred
- A minimum of 2 years, full‑time direct experience providing in‑person counselling for individuals in a supervised clinical setting
- Experience facilitating group counselling
- Knowledge of solution focused and brief therapy models
- A thorough knowledge of trauma, intergenerational trauma and complex trauma
