Job Description
The post is for six months at Homerton Healthcare with a possibility to extend to 12 months. Applications are welcomed from doctors with previous experience in a wide range of specialties; however, relevant experience in critical care or anaesthesia is required to function independently as a registrar out of hours.
Job Plan
80% Clinical (Critical Care Duties)
- Participation in the day‑to‑day management of critically ill patients within the ICU.
- Integration of echocardiography into clinical decision‑making.
- Attendance at ward rounds, multidisciplinary team meetings, and on‑call rota.
20% Echocardiography Training & Development
- Dedicated time for supervised echocardiography practice.
- Completion of a logbook aligned with national accreditation standards (e.g., FUSIC).
- Participation in echo teaching sessions, image review meetings, and case discussions.
