Overview
Provide diagnostic imaging services according to accepted standards and protocols and assure patient safety during procedures
Responsibilities
General Diagnostic Procedures:
* Performs all diagnostic procedures following policies and procedures established by the department and proper protocol.
* Adjusts patient care based on age specific needs
* Uses all equipment properly and in a manner that minimizes hazards of electric shock, burns and extraneous radiation to patients.
* Determines most suitable position and shields patient for optimum imaging, protocol, and patient comfort. Follows ALARA principle (staff and patient shielding).
* Explains procedures and responds to questions appropriately.
* Scans paperwork into the PAC’s System and have proper paperwork filled out (IV contrast paperwork).
* Maintains working knowledge of the PAC’s System.
* Demonstrates knowledge of CD Burning.
* Completes patient charges for each exam in ...
