Under general supervision, the Senior Well Engineering Leader is responsible for designing technically complex wells and implementing processes for well proposals, the Well Basis of Design, and Well Operation Programs. The role may include supervising less senior Well Engineers and ensuring technical integrity of Well Operations planning and execution. The leader drives continuous improvement through lessons learned, timely End-of-Well reports, and feedback integration into future operations. Responsibilities also entail creating and approving Approval for Expenditure (AFE) documents, cost controlling operations, conducting risk assessments to ensure safe and environmentally acceptable operations, and forecasting medium‑ and long‑term operational needs.
