JOB SUMMARY
The Data and Visualization Specialist is responsible for maintaining and updating municipal geospatial and non-geospatial datasets to support municipal departments and services. The role involves data collection, editing, quality assurance, and spatial/non-spatial analysis to inform decision-making. The Specialist prepares maps, reports, and other visualizations, and provides data support across departments.
EDUCATION
- High School graduate or equivalency.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in geographic information systems (GIS), Urban Planning, Geography, or a related field.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of four (4) years of work experience related to municipal services, including related work experience and college or undergraduate coursework.
