The Data Centre Technician ensures overall availability and reliability of the Glasgow data centre, performing hardware and network diagnostics, repairs, root‑cause analysis, training, and documentation. The role is 100% on‑site, requires a 60‑minute response to failures during on‑call, and may require up to 10 % travel to other locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware and network diagnostics and repairs on servers and networking equipment.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis of failures and develop documentation or scripts to update hardware.
• Train internal teams on maintenance procedures.
• Respond to on‑site equipment failures within 60 minutes during scheduled on‑call.
