Job Description

Summary / Position Purpose:

The Demand Planner is responsible for helping to optimize our inventory level by analyzing expected demand for their product categories and setting system parameters for our Purchasing Team based on this analysis. This role is responsible for helping to ensure that inventory is available for customers and optimizing our inventory position to drive revenue, profitability and cashflow. This role will work closely with our Product Management, Purchasing & Operations teams, analyzing data on vendor performance & expected demand to support end-to-end inventory management.

Essential Duties, Functions and/or Responsibilities:

  • Analyze sales & purchasing data to forecast demand and establish appropriate inventory levels for products in their categories
  • Define & manage system settings for the Purchasing team to work to mins, maxs, EOQs)
