Do you want to play a key role in supporting local democracy and decision making? We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Democratic Services Officer to join our team. Democratic Services help to ensure that the Council's decision making processes are efficient, effective and transparent . This involves working closely with Councillors, senior staff from across the organisation and the Council's partners.
Your role will involve:
Providing professional support to Councillors, senior officers and a number of external organisations, in arranging meetings, publishing agenda and producing minutes within statutory and local deadlines, to ensure the Council’s decision making processes operate effectively and efficiently in accordance with the statutory and local procedural requirements and timescales.Advising on governance procedures and compliance with legislation.Servicing statutory Education Admission Appeals, to include re...
