The Department of Civil and Urban Engineering (CUE) at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering (https://engineering.nyu.edu/academics/departments/civil-and-urban-engineering) invites applications for the position of Department Chair and Professor of CUE, with an anticipated start date of September 1, 2026. We are looking for candidates with strong leadership and a forward-looking vision to guide the department toward the next level of innovation in research, education, and societal impact.
The department’s mission is to engage our students, faculty, and researchers to address the critical challenges to our natural and built environments through interdisciplinary education, systems thinking, and advanced research in a collaborative and inclusive environment. The department has 16 tenured and tenure-track faculty members, as well as 8 continuing-contract faculty.
