SUMMARY OF DUTIES
The Deputy CNO / Deputy Nurse Manager is overall responsible for the direct management of the activities of the designated area/zone. Monitoring and improving standards of care through coordinating and supervision of nursing practices: clinical audit, teaching and research where applicable in line with the Hospital Policies and Procedures as well as legislative requirements.

Promotes and ensures high standard of care is delivered in a safe, effective, efficient and caring manner; and organizes, directs and coordinates with the other services in the Facility. Assists the CNO/NM in the management and administration of nursing service. Carries out duties and responsibilities of the CNO/NM in her absence.
