What the role is:
The Singapore Judicial Service Commission (“JSC”) is the appointing authority for all Judicial Service Officers (“JSOs”) in the Singapore Judicial Service. The JSC has jurisdiction over all JSOs in the Singapore Judicial Service and has the following functions and powers over these officers: appointment, confirmation, emplacement on the permanent establishment, promotion, transfer, disciplinary control and dismissal. The JSC Secretariat supports the functions of the JSC and the Judicial Service Special Personnel Board. We are the human resource policy and operational arm of the Judicial Service. The functions we are responsible for include recruitment, talent development, succession planning, performance management, compensation and benefits, training and career development, discipline and exit management.
