Job Description
We are working with a Western Design & Engineering Consultancy, based in Dubai who are looking to hire a Temporary Works Design Engineer. They have offices in Dubai, KSA and the United Kingdom. Due to continued growth and securing new projects, they are seeking an experienced Design Engineer with temporary works experience and proficiency with BS 5975 codes of practice.
The role
- Assume the role of Design Engineer (temporary works) as per BS5975 requirements in the Middle East.
- Develop and manage temporary works registers across multiple building projects.
- Develop technical schemes and design briefs for a wide range of temporary works items including cranes, hoists, slab loading, formwork, scaffold etc.
- Coordinate design submission with our temporary works designers and review the design for alignment with the design brief.
- Complete on-site inspections of temporary works.
