Introduction
Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a Development Engineer to join a well-established metal manufacturing company in the South Wales Valleys. Due to continued growth and a strong order book, this is an excellent opportunity to join a business with over 30 years of industry experience.
Key Duties:
Manage new parts from design or customer drawing stage through to production release.
Conduct feasibility assessments and identify manufacturability concerns.
Define materials, tooling, jigs, fixtures, and process steps.
Produce and maintain drawings, BOMs, specifications, and technical records.
Design or support the creation of jigs, fixtures, templates, and tooling.
Validate tooling through trials and revise where required.
Produce all engineering documentation required for production.
