Responsibilities
As a Nephrology Nurse, you will provide specialized care for patients with kidney failure. Your duties include assessing patients, administering dialysis treatments, managing medications, educating patients and families, monitoring fluid levels, maintaining access sites, collaborating with healthcare teams, documenting patient information, advocating for patients, responding to emergencies, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
Requirements
- Education: Nursing degree (Associate’s or Bachelor’s).
- Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Certification: Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN).
- Skills: Clinical expertise, communication, empathy.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to handle equipment and assist patients.
- Teamwork: Collaboration with healthcare professionals.
- Adherence: Compliance with regulations and protocols.
