The mission of Correctional Managed Care is to address the healthcare needs of underserved patient populations within the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) and the Texas Juvenile Justice Department (TJJD).
**_JOB SUMMARY_** **:**
Provides direct patient care in a dialysis setting and supports licensed staff in the delivery of patient care within UTMB Correctional Managed Care.
**_ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS_** **:**
+ Assists in the medical evaluation of the patient pre-dialysis, including assisting with recording of patients vital signs, weight, general condition and special problems.
+ Correctly sets-up and operates dialysis equipment. Reports equipment problems to the Unit Nurse Manager, Nursing Supervisor, Charge Nurse Chief Technician or Hemodialysis Staff ...
