**Job Description**
Under the general supervision of the Head Nurse/ADN for the area, and the direct supervision of the nurse(s)-in-charge (HHC), follows clearly established procedures in order to perform routine technical duties necessary for the safe and efficient preparation and operation of dialysis equipment for the Renal Service section of Medicine. Maintains dialysis equipment and area supplies, contributing support to continuity of patient care and highest operational standards.
**Qualifications**
1. Requires a level of Knowledge normally acquired through the completion of a high school education or equivalent.
2. Title requires at least six months prior training, and /or experience in Hemodialysis procedures; specific procedures may be learned on the job(incumbent may enter as Hemodialysis Trainee, and receive full ?Technician? status after six months.
