Job Description
To perform maintenance, servicing, fault-finding, and repairs on diesel-powered vehicles and transport equipment to ensure the fleet remains roadworthy, reliable, and operational. The successful candidate will support fleet operations by minimizing vehicle downtime and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine servicing and preventative maintenance on diesel vehicles and equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic faults.
- Repair and replace defective components on trucks, transporters, trailers, and fleet vehicles.
- Perform engine overhauls, gearbox repairs, brake system repairs, suspension work, and drivetrain maintenance.
- Carry out inspections to ensure vehicles comply with roadworthy and safety standards.
