Job Description
The Director of IT Software Engineering leads the application development organization within the Department of Information Technology, charged with creating high-quality custom-developed internally facing applications, utilizing modern techniques in a hybrid multi-cloud environment. The Director will manage software engineers that develop custom applications and capabilities across multiple customer areas while establishing software engineering best practices, ensuring availability of modern software engineering educational pathways, and leading adoption of robust software development lifecycle practices. The Director also maintains centralized ownership of standards, tooling, and talent development in cooperation with Mayo Clinic’s Center for Digital Health.
