Founded in 2010 and based in Mumbai, Youth Organization in Defence of Animals (YODA) is a registered charity committed to improving human-animal coexistence. YODA focuses on providing prompt medical aid for injured and abandoned animals, rehabilitating those with behavioral challenges, and providing shelter for elderly and homeless animals until they are fit for adoption or release. The organization also actively works on vaccination and sterilization programs to manage the stray population and prevent animal-transmissible diseases such as rabies. Education and awareness are key elements of YODA’s mission to eliminate animal cruelty and create compassionate communities.
