Job Title: Director of Maintenance/Transportation Reports to: Superintendent Dept./School: Maintenance/Transportation Director of Maintenance Primary Purpose: Direct and manage district's maintenance and custodial operations. Maintain physical school plant in excellent operating condition so that full educational use may be made at all times. Provide a physical environment that is functional, safe, clean, and attractive. Education/Certification: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred Clear and valid Texas driver's license - CDL w/ P & S endorsement preferred Texas School Bus Driver certification preferred Special Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of basic principles of construction, school plant maintenance, and custodial operations Specific knowledge of crafts used in commercial building repair and maintenance including carpentry; electrical repair; heating, ventilation, and air conditioning; painting; and plumbing Ability to conduct on-site inspection of distr...
