Echo Technician Per Diem

The Echo Technician Per Diem performs ultrasound examinations of the heart and related vessels, including 2D and M-Mode echo cardiology and color-flow Doppler studies (pulsed and continuous). These procedures are performed on all adults. These procedures are performed according to department and Medical Center standards, and are interpreted by a qualified physician.

Core Competencies

• Performs echo study as ordered and per echo protocol on adult patients.
• Demonstrates clinical normal for the following age groups; teenage and young, middle and geriatric adults.
• Demonstrates competency in interpersonal relationships with the following age groups: teenage and young, middle and geriatric adults.
