Job Description
The Education Director is a visionary leader responsible for the total organization, management, and strategic administration of the Keewaywin education system. Reporting directly to the Chief and Council / Education Board, you will provide executive oversight to early childhood education, the community Band School (K-8/K-12), and post‑secondary/adult learning navigation.
The successful candidate will blend robust fiscal and administrative management with a deep commitment to preserving and promoting First Nations language, culture, and traditions. You will serve as the primary liaison between the community, Indigenous Services Canada (ISC), the Ontario Ministry of Education, and neighboring provincial school boards.
