Job Description
Exciting opportunity for Electrical Technicians with experience of high voltage (HV, 11kV / 33kV) testing and maintenance to become a Senior Authorised Person for private networks.
Responsibilities
- Carry out the inspection and maintenance (reactive and planned) of HV and LV equipment up to 132kV, including switchgear, transformers, ring main units, busbars, circuit breakers and protection systems.
- Plan, carry out and supervise HV switching schedules, ensuring compliance with Company Safety Rules.
- Manage fault location and response, diagnosis and repair.
- Provide quotations for works, work packages and plans, job instructions and RAMS.
- Coordinate the work of Electrical Technicians, supervising junior staff.
- Work with clients and other stakeholders to ensure project aims, deliverables and deadlines are met.
- After gaining the appropriate authorisation, carry out HV switching and isolations.
