Job Description The Embryologist performs assisted reproduction technology (ART) laboratory techniques for reproductive health procedures. Independently performs key projects and procedures within the laboratory. This position will be expected to successfully and independently perform the following procedures in accordance with standard operating procedures and quality control processes: Oocyte retrieval Insemination Pronuclear assessment Embryo culture Gamete genetic diagnosis (PGD) Semen analysis The Embryologist will also evaluate clinical specimens, prepare samples, select specimens for transfer, oversee development and assess growth and quality characteristics. Participation in and support for research projects conducted by faculty members in the division is also expected. Due to the nature of work, flexibility in schedule is a requirement.
