**Job Description:**
Under close/general supervision by licensed personnel the Emergency Department Technician will perform a variety of functions in support and care of patients requiring urgent or emergency care in an urgent care or emergency medical setting. The Emergency Department Technician will work directly with and provide close observation of patients assigned to their care. Care assignment is delegated through registered nurses and/or providers. The Emergency Department Technician will maintain an orderly work environment at nursing station/exam areas; responds to patient care needs; transports patients; delivers specimens to lab; data entry for orders; answers phone, performs EKGs and directs calls to RN's on duty as required. The Emergency Department Technician is also responsible for direct patient interaction with patients experiencing behavioral, mental, substance abuse (high risk patients), and other conditions that effects or impairs a patient...
