Job Description
**Job Summary and Responsibilities**
This position is responsible for providing Neurological Diagnostics procedures in all patient care areas including NCS/EMG. Assess diagnostics needs of patients and works under medical supervision operating sophisticated medical equipment.
+ Recognizes clinically significant events and follows facility policy and procedures regarding critical test results; maintains the patient's safety through communication to other patient care support staff during the NCS procedures; applies basic and intermediate NCS waveform recognition, relevant medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, infection control, current HIPPA practices, contraindications for NCS procedures, equipment instrumental and preparation; performs patient assessments and education as it relates, potential allergies, movement restrictions, and cognitive function.
